Tribal prints were everywhere on the runways for spring/summer 2010. With Italian heavyweights Gucci and Versace featuring them heavily in their collections, the French houses of Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga weren’t without them and they were also used in New York see Marc by Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler and Diane Von Furstenberg above.

It is thus inevitable that this is a look we should all be rocking come summer. So how to wear it? Very simply it’s about abstract prints and ethnic looking details, think the accessories you picked up in a market whilst on holiday in Morocco/Cape Verde/Carribean. The great thing about this trend is that it is so versatile wear a printed dress, a tribal top with jeans or simply throw a cute bag on with a plain outfit.
