The 18th BAFTA Tea Party took place last week at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. On the red carpet, BAFTA nominee Michelle Williams went with a pretty elfin look in a cute monochrome design from the new collection by Victoria Beckham; Victoria.

Evan Rachel Wood chose a classic ensemble with a sexy twist; a red skirt and blouse look from the new spring collection by Roland Mouret with a peak of bra. Killer black Salvatore Ferragamo heels complete the look.

Chloe Moretz attended the awards wearing a grown-up ensemble of stripey pencil skirt and top look from the new resort collection by Burberry Prorsum, she teamed the look with a stylish pair of Rupert Sanderson lace-up heels.

Charlize Theron oozed Hollywood glamour in a yellow lace lace peplum dress from the pre-fall collection by Stella McCartney. From the chic dress, nude accessories to the sleek hair and bold red lips; everything about this look works great.

Cheryl Cole stole the show on the red carpet at the Pride of Britain Awards last night. Cheryl wowed on the red carpet wearing a light pink high-necked gown from last year’s Spring collection by Victoria Beckham. There is something very elegant about VB’s dresses as Cheryl demonstrates well. We can assume given that this is a dress from an old collection that it is a purchase Cheryl made rather than a sample lent by Victoria. Read into that what you will!

Kim Kardashian made her debut as a married lady over on the East coast in New York this week. Kim attended a party at Capitale alongside her new husband Kris Humphries. For the occasion Kim opted for a more refined take on her usual ultra sexy look in a champagne coloured draped silk dress from the autumn/winter 2010 collection by Victoria Beckham. Fingers crossed this is the start of a decidedly more elegant Kim.

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria is more closely associated with ultra luxury brands such as that of her good friend – Victoria Beckham or the ultra sexy Herve Leger. For the 2011 Imagine Awards that she attended yesterday however, Eva went to British online behemoth ASOS and picked up a super chic mustard yellow shift dress which is currently on sale for £20. Yes £2-0! She did add a little high fashion to her look however with a pair of Brian Atwood pumps.

World renowned producer Simon Fuller, famed for creating tv hits such as American Idol received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. A few of his showbiz friends attended the event to show their support. Victoria Beckham continued on showcasing her most stylish pregnancy yet choosing a black silk parachute dress from her fall collection teamed with a nude bag also from her own label.

Jennifer Lopez was also present, the singer showed off an enviable figure in a body hugging green dress from the new fall collection by Zac Posen. No cleavage and a long hemline means that Jennifer can carry off this very very tight dress without a hint of trashy.

The Beckham’s were among the many guests to attend the Royal Wedding yesterday. David Beckham who is a good friend of Prince William looked dashing in a Ralph Lauren suit whilst Victoria Beckham wore a design of her own making. In the loose fitting navy design from her fall 2011 collection it was the first appearance of her baby bump. She accessorised with killer heels custom made by Christian Louboutin and a chic hat made by Philip Treacy.

It was a big evening for fashion last night when the British Fashion Council Awards were held in the newly reopened Savoy hotel. The coveted designer of the year award went to Phoebe Philo for her critically acclaimed work at Celine, whilst Victoria Beckham lost out on the best designer brand award which went to Emma Hill at Mulberry.

Other big winners included Alexa Chung for best British style, Lara Stone for best model and Naomi Campbell was given a special recognition award. The highly contested best accessories designer category went to Nicholas Kirkwood and emerging designer went to Meadham Kirchhoff. The evening took a sombre turn when Alexander McQueen was posthumously honoured with outstanding achievement in fashion.

The red carpet was something to behold with all attendees bringing their A-game (which for most unfortunately meant getting hold of a design from a spring 2011 collection and wearing it whatever it actually looked like). For me Daisy Lowe won the best dressed, she surprised by wearing a gown not by one of her many British designer friends but by Lebanese designer Elie Saab. The black lace gown from Elie Saab’s fall collection has the optimal mix of drama and elegance for a perfect red carpet look.
