The Twilight Promotional tour made it’s way to the UK today with the film’s most famous trio; Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner appearing at the London premiere of Breaking Dawn Part 1 at Westfield Stratford. Kristen pulled out her second show-stopping look in as many days; this time a black embellished gown from the new spring collection by Roberto Cavalli. Cavalli is a not normally on the list of preferred designers that Kristen tends to wear but she picked the perfect design to suit her look. Whilst the gown is very pretty it also has a slightly gothic edge, perfect for a vampy film and Kristen image. She teamed the dress with Jimmy Choo pumps and an Alexander McQueen black leather belt.

Coming in a close second to Kristen Stewart in the style stakes on the red carpet of the LA premiere for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 was Ashley Greene. Ashley who plays Alice Cullen in the saga wowed in a custom made red lace strapless gown with a layered effect by Donna Karan.

The eagerly anticipated LA premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 took place last night at the Nokia Theatre in Hollywood. As one of the biggest events on the promotional tour all the cast members came out much to the delight of adoring fans who had camped out for days to catch a glimpse of the stars.

Kristen Stewart who plays the films’s leading lady Bella Swan, is always the one to watch on the red carpet. She’s evolved from socially awkward starlet to a fully fledged sexy star. There’s been many a premiere in the history of Twilight promotional events, but at this Kristen really impressed.

Kristen chose a metallic blue sequinned embellished high split dress from the new spring collection by J.Mendel. She teamed the look with Brian Atwood black peeptoe pumps and a simple sapphire ring by Neil Lane. This look has it all; sexiness, drama and a good side of that edgy cool that has become Kristen’s trademark.

Twilight’s Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson were immortalised earlier today at a hand and footprint ceremony at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre earlier today. For the occasion Kristen Stewart opted to wear a design from the new spring collection by London Fashion Week favourite, Marios Schwab. The beige dress with black piping was very sheer on the runway but has been modified to be red carpet appropriate for Kristen. As her official appearance as part of the Breaking Dawn Part 1 promotions this sporty little dress definitely shows there’s lots of fashion potential with newer edgier designers.

I’ve been attending London Fashion Week for a fair few seasons now and it’s exciting to see the rapidly increasing buzz and excitement that surrounds the shows and designers. It isn’t just the new designers, for which London is becoming synonymous but the established names including the arrival of one Mr Tom Ford which is fast making the city a force to reckoned with on the fashion scene.

Christopher Kane is fast becoming one of the hottest tickets of the week. This season was arguably one of his best; a collection inspired by teenage girl’s dear diary paraphernalia of appliqué flowers, jacquard metallics and pretty brocades. Shift dresses, tunic dresses and matching skirts all sure to provoke a rather apt teenage like envy to those lucky enough to get their hands on these pieces!

Mulberry showed a collection of clothing good enough to eat all in ice-cream pastels inspired by the British seaside. Models paraded the runway with backbrushed hair – those that paid enough attention to take it in did well indeed given the starry front row- Kate Moss and Kristen Stewart no less.

When I sat down to watch the last Burberry show I did so with a certain amount of trepidation. For me Christopher Bailey’s last good collection was his shearling aviator show of autumn/winter 2010. So you can imagine my elation at his spring/summer 2012 catwalk – Bailey is back to his best! 50′s midi-skirts ruled with what is set to be the defining silhouette of the season. The earthy palette of greens and autumnal rust was a nice diversion from the sickly sweet offerings of countless other designers for spring/summer.

Finally the lovely Roksanda Ilincic. Roksanda’s previous collection on sumptous evening gowns in jewel coloured silks put her firmly on the fashion map and landed a few of her designs on the red carpet. This season she took her collection to a new sportier level with a much more playful silhouette.

As the star of the Twilight movies Kristen Stewart was present at the Comic Con event yesterday in San Diego to promote the latest film. Kristen clearly doesn’t have a lot of love for the red carpet and subsequent red carpet dressing, luckily Comic Con is not a really dressy affair. For the occasion Kristen looked casual in 7 For All Mankind skinny jeans, a white Market sheer top and blue Converse trainers. Kristen’s hair and makeup is not completely awful but the white top and black bra combo is!

The stars of the red carpet hit the red carpet in London for the very last time – sob! The star of the franchise has always been the very lovely and increasingly fashion fabulous - Emma Watson. So for the very last foray on home turf what does Emma choose to wear?….a kind of awful dress.

Emma opted to wear a tulle embroidered bodice gown from the fall 2011 collection by Oscar De La Renta. I really wanted to love this dress but it just fails on many counts. Firstly the colour – the oyster blue/silvery combination falls flat on Emma’s pale skin and dark hair. Secondly – toilet roll cover anyone? The look Emma appears to be going for a ball gown gone edgy look however it doesn’t quite have the right vibe about it to make it work – check out Twilight’s Kristen Stewart in an Oscar De La Renta gown at the New Moon LA premiere for a much better example. My fingers are firmly crossed for the rest of this promotional tour.

The annual Glamour Women Of The Year Awards took place last night in London. The ceremony always seems to attract a stellar guest-list and last night was no different with the likes of Kristen Stewart and Kim Kardashian flying in for the event.

Kristen Stewart debuted her second Balmain look in 3 days following the red embellished design she wore to the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday. On this occasion she opted for a much softer design wearing a star print strapless dress from the spring collection paired with grey Giuseppe Zanotti heels. This is a very pretty look on Kristen, I especially admire her decision to not go down the fake bake route in contrast to many of her tangerine Hollywood counterparts.

Mila Kunis was another star in attendance at the MTV Movie Awards. She didn’t walk the red carpet but did appear on stage alongside Justin Timberlake (yes they are groping one another – you’ll have to tune in tonight to find out why!) Mila, like Leighton Meester and Kristen Stewart also chose to wear Balmain for the evening. Mila got the tone of her look exactly right for the event in a metallic mini-skirt and black long-sleeved top from the fall Balmain collection.

The annual MTV Movie Awards took place last night in LA. The big winner of the night was once again The Twilight Saga who cleaned up, taking away best male and female performances, best kiss, best fight and the best movie. The cast were all in attendance to present the world premiere of the trailer for the latest instalment, Breaking Dawn Part 1.

In the style stakes Kristen Stewart has certainly found her ‘look’ for the purposes of red carpet appearances -tiny dress (never pretty – think edgy), killer heels, ruffled hair and that ‘I don’t give a ****’ attitude. On this occasion a red metal embellished strapless mini dress from the spring collection by Balmain teamed with black Christian Louboutin heels.

Balmain is the perfect choice of designer for Kristen – rock-chick, tough-luxe – words that describe the brand but also work pretty well for Kristen too.
