The MTV Movie Awards has come to be loved for the comedy, spectacle and Robert Pattinson. Last night did not disappoint. There was music and dancing from Jennifer Lopez and Tom Cruise (yes together as a duet), Katy Perry with blue hair and even a Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson kiss.

But perhaps the awards should be renamed the Twilight awards because as in previous years the saga cleaned up. It took away best movie, best female performance for Kristen Stewart, best male for Robert Pattinson (go team Edward!), best kiss for Robert and Kristen and global superstar for Robert Pattinson.

As for the style in the ceremony where the right look is a mix between understated and sexy few did well and many failed. Here is the roundup of who wore what at the MTV Movie Awards 2010:

BEST DRESSED:

Kristen Stewart in a Dolce and Gabbana mini skirt and gold brocade top from the fall 2010 collection with Jerome C.Rousseau heels. The combination of a metallic with a duller fabric is a hot look this fall. Kristen nails it.

Whitney Port in a dress by Yigal Azrouel spring 2010. Yellow is hot trend right now on red carpets and looks great with Whitney’s California girl looks.

Anna Kendrick in a Zac Posen dress. Initially overlooked but on a second observation it came apparent just how fierce Anna looks in this dress.

Miranda Cosgrove in a Versus dress. Red dresses can go one of two ways; slutty central or sensationally stylish. Miranda Cosgrove’s red dress set off perfectly with her dark hair definitely achieves the latter!

WORST DRESSED:

Lindsay Lohan in a Pamella Roland jumpsuit. This doesn’t really require an explanation.

Christina Aguilera in Atelier Versace. Dustbin bags and chains, not generally the best dress making materials.

Katy Perry in Herve Leger. The dress is actually ok however we take offence with the blue hair.

THE REST:

Nikki Reed in Miu Miu

Cameron Diaz in Diane Von Furstenberg

Jessica Biel in Giambattista Valli

Paris Hilton in Bluemarine

Scarlett Johansson in Dolce and Gabbana

Katy Perry in Zuhair Murad

Elizabeth Reaser in Stella McCartney

Vanessa Hudgens in Jenny Packham

Eva Mendes in Stella McCartney

Audrina Patridge in CD Greene

Lo Bosworth in Diane Von Furstenberg

Stephanie Pratt in Leila Shams
