Emma Stone made an appearance at The Late Show this week. She was spotted making her way into the studio sporting a chic little black dress. Emma’s long-sleeved lace front mini dress comes from the pre-fall collection by French house Azzaro. Emma teams the dress with a covetable pair of maroon Brian Atwood pumps.
Natalie Portman is riding high on the back of a string of best actress awards for her performance in Black Swan. Last night the Screen Actors Guild Awards took place in Los Angeles. Natalie was in attendance to pick up her award along with an increasingly visible baby bump. Natalie demonstrates the art of dressing a baby bump in a simple white gown by Azzaro teamed with a Roger Vivier clutch. Earlier last week Natalie sported another chic look in a black halterneck dress by Michael Kors.
Kim Kardashian has never been one to shy away from a red carpet. She attended the 2011 Critic’s Choice awards last night looking sexy in a red figure hugging mermaid gown by Vera Wang.
A more subtle look but statement gown nonetheless came from British actress Emily Blunt. Emily chose an understated look with an embellished bow detail design by Azzaro.
The much anticipated finale of the X Factor took place at the weekend with the series favourite Matt Cardle walking away the winner. As watched as the show itself has been the epic fash-off between the two ultra glam female judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue.
For Sunday’s finale night following a run of covetable dresses including designs by Zuhair Murad, Azzaro, Gianfranco Ferre and Emilio Pucci, Cheryl stepped out in a red halterneck mermaid design from the fall collection by J.Mendel. Cheryl got everything about this look right, from the vibrant colour palette to the sleek updo and flawless makeup.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this gown; American actress Malin Akerman wore the gown to the Toronto Film Festival last month. Who wore the look better? Malin and Cheryl both wear the statement gown well, keeping the rest of the look to a minimum and letting the fab dress take centre stage.
The Burlesque publicity tour took to Japan yesterday where it stars appeared on the red carpet for the premiere. Kristen Bell attended looking super stylish in a red ruffled strapless design from the new spring collection by Azzaro. On the runway this design is white with a black belt but actually works really well in the bright red palette. Kristen teams the look with black peeptoe pumps.
As the star of the film Christina Aguilera also attended. Unlike Kristen’s chic look Christina’s was less successful. Christina went for a black silk cap sleeved gown with zipper detail from last year’s spring collection by Elie Saab. Elie Saab is one of the most talented eveningwear designers around but somehow Christina has managed to get hold of the one design that looks cheap and nasty!
Michelle Williams attended the New York premiere of her new film Blue Valentine last night. The Dawson’s Creek actress looked pretty in a silver and white dress from the new spring collection by French design house Azzaro. My only issue is with the ruffles on the skirt which would have been much more sophisticated without. Black Charlotte Olympia pumps completed her look.
Earlier this week Michelle appeared at a special screening of the film in the Tribeca Loft. She posed alongside her co-star Ryan Gosling in a painted floral dress from the new spring collection by Erdem. This is the second design Michelle has worn from Erdem’s spring collection.
Also in attendance at the New York premiere was Gossip Girl’s Michelle Trachtenberg. Michelle went with the most popular look for the festive season in a classic lace shift dress by Alice + Olivia.
French fashion house Azzaro are the latest in a long line of luxury brands to collaborate with La Redoute. Azzaro is well known for its red carpet moments, latest outing include Carey Mulligan and Ashley Greene. But it is Twilight Saga star Kristen Stewart who is Azzaro’s biggest fan choosing designs to wear on a number of occasions.
Vanessa Steward, creative director at Azzaro has designed a chic range of women’s classic pieces. The trademark Azzaro embellishment is present in sequin and rhinestone adornments. Some of the collection is available to preview online right now with the official launch scheduled for August.
Twilight saga actress Ashley Greene attended the Antwerp premiere of Eclipse last night alongside co-star Xavier Samuel. The pair walked the red carpet to the delight of hundreds of waiting fans.
Following a day of fashion fails in Madrid, Ashley she did moderately better choosing a black and white design by French designer Azzaro. The dress comes from the pre-fall collection at Azzaro, a collection characterised by peter pan collars and embellished gowns.
Although this is a nice look we can’t help but feel it is a little mumsy and something more youthful would have worked better. After all Azzaro is a favourite of co-star Kristen Stewart who wore a dress from the label only last week with a notably sexier vibe. A newly copper haired Kristen Stewart had a very busy day yesterday. First, her appearance on David Letterman, and then the big New York screening of Eclipse. With only days left till the opening of one of the years most anticipated films, its stars have gone into publicity overdrive.
What of Kristen’s fashion? First up for David Letterman Kristen chose a black one shouldered dress from one of her favourite labels, Herve Leger. The body con dress with metallic neck detailing is taken from the fall collection. She paired the dress with her trusty Brian Atwood pumps.
Next was the screening in New York, a low key event compared to the scream fest premiere in LA last week. This time Kristen chose a long sleeved seashell effect dress from notorious dress designer RM by Roland Mouret with Christian Louboutin pumps. The dress is a black version of the blue runway look from the fall collection.
Did she do well? Whilst out of context both the dresses are great on Kristen Stewart, she wears them as well as the runway models. But in consideration of her status as one of the most photographed and talked about celebrities in the world, she desperately needs to mix it up a bit! In the last few weeks Kristen has worn LBDs from Azzaro, Versace, Marchesa and another Herve Leger. Little black dresses are staple wardrobe items but they should never be THE only thing in the wardrobe.

A whole host of events went on yesterday from film premieres to a royal party, all with a good dose of celebrity attendance. One of our favourites goes to Kristen Stewart who attended the LA premiere of Love Ranch to support a fellow actress (and very probably E1 told her to go).
Kristen is one of the most closely watched celebrities on the style stakes with legions of die hard fans and thus the pressure is on. It is not than a surprise that Kristen has found a fashion formula that she likes and which works for her (little black strapless dress teamed with killer Brian Atwood heels).
For this particular premiere Kristen chose a black dress from Azzaro’s fall collection, modified from the runway to achieve the utmost of Kristen’s killer legs, teamed with Brian Atwood pumps. Tonight is the much anticipated LA premiere of the latest instalment of the Twilight films, with the additional fashion fun of all cast members attending. Secondly we love Salma Hayek in Louis Vuitton resort 2011. When you look like Salma Hayek and your married to one of the top men at Gucci it can’t be too hard to come up with killer looks, and Salma never fails. The simple white Louis Vuitton dress with a flash of colour courtesy of a red belt and red platforms is a killer combination.
