Last night an elite group of editors, models, designers and celebrities gathered to hear the news that the Vogue CFDA fashion fund would be awarded to American designer Billy Reid. He beat out stiff competition by the likes of Prabal Gurung who came in runner up.

On the red carpet a host of stars stepped out. Blake ‘I don’t have a stylist’ Lively wowed in an embroidered black dress from the new spring collection by Chanel teamed with rouge Christian Louboutin stilettos.

Gossip Girl co-star Leighton Meester always goes for a fashion forward look and for last night’s event she wore a white beaded gown from the new spring collection by Prabal Gurung. Fashion’s darling Carey Mulligan chose couture for the evening in a sequin dress from the fall haute couture collection by Chanel.

Christina Ricci wore a black and white dress form the new spring collection by Peter Som (she really needed to lose the tights). Finally Kim Kardashian arrived on the arm of designer Zac Posen in a powder blue embroidered collar princess gown.
