STYLE STARS – Who Wore What at the Harry Potter London Premiere
The eagerly anticipated Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 world premiere took place last night in Leicester Square. The cast were present on the red carpet to the delight of the thousands of fans that swarmed to the cinema yesterday evening.
Last night was all about the film’s leading lady; Emma Watson. Emma arrived on the red carpet in a tiny lace feathered vintage dress by Rafael Lopez teamed with heels by British designer Charlotte Olympia. Initially I loved this look, however on closer observation I can’t shake the showgirl/ice dancer vibe, not assisted by the rather bold shade of orange tan Emma is sporting.
Clemence Poesy plays Fleur Delacour in the films and is a regular on the fashion set thanks to her French roots and stint on Gossip Girl. Clemence went high fashion in a dress from the fall haute couture collection by Chanel. It’s a little granny chic but it is couture so we’ll let it slide. Helena Bonham Carter added her own eccentric twist to her purple Vivienne Westwood dress.
Finally child star Chloe Moretz showed off a sense of style worthy of someone much older and wiser in a checked metallic dress from the fall collection by Proenza Schouler.
