STYLE STARS – Who Wore What at the Eclipse LA premiere
It’s the night we’ve all been waiting for, some even camped out for days just to be in the epicentre of the action, it could only be the Eclipse LA premiere. Yes there was Robert Pattinson and a whole lot of screaming but what we all want to know is what the ladies wore. Without further delay here is a roundup of who wore what at the Eclipse LA premiere:
On the night three designers stood out; Elie Saab, Marchesa and Gucci. Marchesa began the frenzy tweeting hints to followers and us at Lady Glamourazzi that all pointed to a Marchesa fest! And fans were not disappointed, Marchesa did indeed do very well dressing Nikki Reed and Anna Kendrick. Whilst Elie Saab dressed both Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. Last but not least we cannot forget the boys, Taylor and Robert were both dressed in Gucci.
Kristen Stewart chose a white one sleeved mini dress from the fall 2009 couture collection at Elie Saab paired with Christian Louboutins. After a month of wearing little black dresses like they are about to run out, the white is refreshing, a very pretty look though we would have liked to see something full length.
Co-star Dakota Fanning also wore a dress by Elie Saab, this time from the spring couture collection. Whilst we love the on-trend nude lace, the look is very similar to previous designs worn by Dakota. Quite why Dakota has taken to looking like a ghost with all that nude fabric, pale skin and blonde hair we’re not quite sure.
Ashley Greene has always been one to watch, one can never be sure which way she’ll go (fashion fab or fashion fail). Last night in a pale floor length gown by Alexis Mabille couture Ashley failed. A dress that looks like you have wrapped a sheet around you is never going to impress.
Nikki Reed wore a fabulous oyster blue feather dress from Marchesa’s fall collection. It isn’t Nikki’s sexiest look but oh so very pretty. Anna Kendrick looked super cute in a gold pleated mini dress from the resort collection at Marchesa teamed with Jimmy Choos.
Elisabeth Reaser aka Mummy Cullen brought the sexy in a daring lace mini dress by Zuhair Murad. Finally Bryce Dallas Howard, the new Victoria, brought a breath of fresh air to the vampy red carpet in a yellow gown by Dior.

Not a big marchesa fan honestly, and did not like either of those dresses. Nikki’s too petite for that dress, it’s meant for a runaway model. Ditto for Anna. Otherwise, I agree with your assessments. And after ripping on marchesa, I hate to admit that Kristen’s Rome marchesa would have been more appropriate for tonight honestly. I really liked seeing Kristen do something different like that.

I liked Kristen’s look a lot nut I wish that one sleeve was more form fitting. Dakota was super boring (nude? again?) and Elizabeth Reaser’s dress was way too tight. Nikki looked like a C-list ice dancer. Liked BDH’s yellow Dior. Ashley tries way too hard to be a “fashion girl”.
Really wish Anna Kendrick would stop wearing strappy shoes. They don’t streamline her body at all. And that “one-knee bent” pose has got to go. It’s so boring.

I think you got it pretty much spot on! Kristen’s dress was nice but ill fitting and a little too simple for such a big occasion, Dakota is one more nude dress away from becoming a ghost and Ashley looked like she was wrapped in her bed sheet!…..My favourite look was probably either Anna or Bryce!

Yes something a little more special on Kristen would have been nice such as last years Oscar De La Renta. I definitely would have put her in something floor length, she needed the wow factor!
