The after party celebrations for the Academy Awards attract nearly as much attention as the main event. It’s where all the stars can let loose following all the drama and anticipation and of course where the lesser known stars not quite able to swing an invite to the ceremony come out to play. And of course the outfits are equally as glam.

One of the hotspots to be at on the night is Elton John’s bash. The event attracted a whole load of stars (mainly young Hollywood). Nicole Richie attended the party decked out in white in a dress from the hot of the runway autumn/winter collection by Halston. I’m not a big fan of this look, with its cutaway details it has a slightly cheap look to it. (Think Cheryl Cole, all we’re missing is a few tattoos).

Also on the red carpet a newly brunette Ashley Tisdale. Ashley looked surprisingly demure in an antique lace asymmetric embroidered gown from spring collection by Jenny Packham. Finally what would a celeb packed night in LA be without Kim Kardashian? Kim went for a silk and organza peplum detailed gown from the resort collection by J.Mendel. There’s nothing wrong with this look but I do feel like we’ve seen it before on Kim many many times.
