Carey Mulligan made an appearance at the opening night gala of the Dubai International Film Festival last night. Also in attendance to promote the release of his new film The King’s Speech, amidst Oscar buzz was another British favourite, Colin Firth.

Carey Mulligan arrived wearing a floor-length printed gown from the resort collection by Erdem. I am a big fan of Erdem but this dress doesn’t do much for me. Perhaps it’s because we’ve seen similar looks by Erdem on the red carpet or that we’re used to seeing real show stopping looks from Carey, either way this look is a little lacklustre.
