Judging from the red carpets we’ve seen in the last few weeks there’s only one colour to be wearing this winter; white. In the past week alone we’ve seen Angelina Jolie, Anne Hathaway, Michelle Williams, Cheryl Cole, Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning and Jessica Alba sporting their brightest whites.

White is the easiest of colours to wear for all skin tones, for paler palettes take a tip from Kirsten Dunst who brightens up her Chanel gown with a slick of red lips. Steer clear of the temptation to break out the St Tropez unless your after a role as an extra in The Only Way is Essex.

Picture this; it’s a cold London day and you’re walking down a quiet street huddled into your belted camel coat, your lips are accessorised with a slick of vibrant red and your leather gloved hands clutch a cigarette-holder. Ok maybe I am being a little dramatic but slip on a camel coat and you too will be transformed into this more sophisticated world.

You can’t have missed the camel revolution this season, it was all over the runways back in February, everywhere from Celine to Chloe, Marc Jacobs to Marni. Consequently it is all over our magazines and in our shops. There is something innately glamorous about a camel coat, whether it is the images it conjures of more alluring eras or that it is simply tres chic.

French design house Lanvin regularly dresses the world’s A-list, Jennifer Aniston and Maggie Gyllenhaal are just two recent examples. Contain your excitement because now the world famous designer is coming to the high street, H&M will team up with Lanvin to create a luxurious collection at everyday affordable prices.

What can we expect from Alber Elbaz and his team? Sumptuous cocktail dresses for the ladies and chic tailoring for the men. It is the latest in a line of high street collaborations from H&M, including Jimmy Choo, Stella McCartney and Karl Lagerfeld. Another season brings yet another hit bag for Mulberry. Move over Alexa because there is a new bag in town and whilst it retains the edgy feel of the Alexa it is infinitely more sophisticated.

You can usually judge the success of a bag by how quickly it is picked up by the A-list and the Neely isn’t doing badly. Already spotted on the arm of fashionista Olivia Palermo and it is also featured in filming for Gossip Girl on the arm of Blake Lively, in addition to sightings on Fearne Cotton, Diana Vickers and Michelle Trachtenberg.

French fashion house Azzaro are the latest in a long line of luxury brands to collaborate with La Redoute. Azzaro is well known for its red carpet moments, latest outing include Carey Mulligan and Ashley Greene. But it is Twilight Saga star Kristen Stewart who is Azzaro’s biggest fan choosing designs to wear on a number of occasions.

Vanessa Steward, creative director at Azzaro has designed a chic range of women’s classic pieces. The trademark Azzaro embellishment is present in sequin and rhinestone adornments. Some of the collection is available to preview online right now with the official launch scheduled for August.

Ever since the SATC girls sashayed onto our screens for their Arabian adventure in floor sweeping gowns in eye popping colours, the world has become obsessed with maxi dresses. There’s nothing like the feel of a hemline grazing your ankle to make you feel glamorous, lets call it the princess effect. And with very unlikely weather conditions sweeping the country there’s no better time to get into this particular trend.

Celebrities have loved this particular wardrobe item for a long time, blissfully forgiving the long and loose shape hides a multitude of sins without forsaking a thing in the style stakes. And no longer is it the staple look reserved for boho babes (think Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton and Rachel Zoe) it has evolved and we’re all getting in on the act.
