Miley Cyrus attended the American Giving Awards held in LA this week. The teen singer/actress went for a grownup look in a gold sequinned embellished gown by Jenny Packham. There are several things wrong with this look; the shiny gold looks a little cheap and then scrapped back hair is much too harsh for this look.

Angelina Jolie made a red carpet appearance alongside partner Brad Pitt for the premiere of new movie In The Land of Blood and Honey. Angelina looked every inch the Hollywood star, if a little predictable in a one shoulder chiffon gown from the spring 2012 collection by Romona Keveza.

The annual UNICEF Ball took place last weekend at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in LA. A host of celebrity guests attended the event. Diane Kruger stole the show in a black halter-neck design by Emilio Pucci. The dress, from the spring 2012 collection is cut very small on the front revealing a little too much flesh. A paired down hair and makeup look lets the dress take centre stage.

Nicole Richie was also a guest at the event. Instead of sporting a design from her own label she went for a dress by Michael Kors. The leather bodice dress with cut-out details is a fab dress but has unfortunately been worn before, and alot better by Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester.

Kristen Bell went for winter white look at the ball. The stunning asymmetric grecian style gown comes from the resort collection by Christian Dior.

Rose McGowan went for her trademark old school Hollywood look in a purple lace floral applique gown by Dolce and Gabbana.

Charlize Theron has been busy promoting the release of her new film Young Adult. She appeared on the red carpet for the New York premiere earlier last week. For the occasion she chose a red leather shift dress from the new spring collection by Christian Dior. The words -red leather dress aren’t usually ones that work together but the look comes off surprising chic on Charlize. She teams the dress with nude Jimmy Choo shoes.

Charlize was also spotted arriving for a taping of The Late Show. For this occasion she went for a classic look in a monochrome dress from the new spring collection by Antonio Berardi. She teamed the dress with black strappy Tom Ford sandals.

Jessica Biel attended the New York premiere of New Year’s Eve last week. The actress looked stunning in a sheer long-sleeved beaded gown from the new spring 2012 collection by Valentino. This dress has a lovely twenties feel about it, a look that is going to be huge next season.

Hilary Swank was another star on the red carpet for the LA premiere of New Year’s Eve. Hilary went for a pretty look in a navy blue embellished dress from the fall haute couture collection by Elie Saab. Hilary teamed the feminine dress with a pair of black mesh Christian Louboutin pumps.

The star-studded premiere of new movie New Year’s Eve (another American attempt at Love Actually) took place in LA earlier this week. Lea Michele took to the red carpet where she raised a few brows with her closeness to co-star Ashton Kutcher. For the occasion Lea dazzled in a nude halterneck gown by Valentino. As is often the case with Lea’s style, she always seems to be trying to be sexy, the overly low-neck cut of this dress is a good example…..

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge attended the Gary Barlow charity concert that took place last night in London at the Royal Albert Hall. Kate attended the event alongside her husband, Prince Phillip and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. On this occasion Kate went for a far trendier look than we are used to seeing her in. She teamed a black lace tulip shaped dress from Zara with a black Ralph Lauren jacket. The dress is new into Zara so although it is no longer available on the website (naturally) you may be lucky and find it in store. The only real offence I take to this look, and it is a real offence is the black waist-belt she has added.

Rachel McAdams made a stunning appearance at the LA Premiere of the new Sherlock Holmes film, A Game of Shadows. Rachel chose a silver embroidered gown from the resort collection by Marchesa. And if that wasn’t pretty enough, the back of the gown features a dramatic draped cowl back.

Sarah Jessica Parker made an appearance at the UNICEF Snowflake ball held at Cipriani in New York earlier this week. Sarah went for a high fashion look wearing one of the very best looks from the new spring collection by Louis Vuitton. Whilst I love this dress, dare I say it…..Sarah is a teeny bit too old for such a look nowadays!
