The American Music Awards took place on Sunday night with the biggest names in music attending including Jennifer Lopez who was a big winner on the night and Justin Bieber.

Hitting up the red carpet with her boyfriend amidst those baby daddy rumours was Selena Gomez with Justin Bieber. Selena’s outfit says it all with all attention on her in a slinky silver gown by Giorgio Armani. This gown has an old school Hollywood vibe to it that looks great on Selena.

Heidi Klum attended the awards, I’m not really sure on the music connection here but she looked great. For the occasion Heidi chose a silver laser cut design dress from the new spring collection by British designer Giles.

Nicki Minaj debuted a more sophisticated look on the red carpet wearing a ball gown by Oscar De La Renta, traditionally the favourite designer of Park Avenue princesses. Nicki does Upper East Side as well as she wears quirky alternative ensembles.

Taylor Swift stuck to what she does best; sparkly princess dresses. For the AMA’s she chose a gold sequinned design by Reem Acra.

Jennifer Lopez stole the show with her medley performance that involved steadily increasing naked costume changes. For her arrival Jennifer chose a stunning black lace design by Zuhair Murad. For the after party she wowed in a silver and white feather mini dress by Emilio Pucci.

Kate Winslet attended the French premiere of new film Carnage in Paris last night. Kate made an unusual outfit choice in choosing a design by British designer Stella McCartney that she has worn a version of before. Kate chose a red and black body contouring dress, she previously wore a nude version to the Venice Film Festival back in September. The dress undoubtedly works for Kate but when there are countless other designers and looks to choose from it is a little disappointing to see something we’ve seen before.

Emma Watson made an appearance on the red carpet for the London premiere of My Week With Marilyn last night in Leicester square. The Harry Potter actress has a supporting role in the eagerly anticipated film. For the occasion Emma opted for a chic monochrome ensemble from the new spring collection by Jason Wu. Emma teamed the look with black Jimmy Choo sandals and a leopard Charlotte Olympia clutch bag.

Nikki Reed was another castmember present at the New York screening of Breaking Dawn – Part 1. Nikki pulled out all the stops in a floor-length neon gown from the resort collection by Michael Kors. Neon green isn’t an easy colour to carry off but Nikki adds an edge with her leather jacket and keeps her hair and makeup simple, letting the dress take centre stage.

Whilst the film’s main stars jetted off to London, Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed continued on with promotional duties for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 in New York. At a screening of the new film Ashley chose yet another custom made gown by Donna Karan. This time Ashley chose a monochrome pleated design with cut-out detailing.

Jessica Biel was a guest at the GQ Men of the Year party held in Los Angeles over the weekend. For the occasion the actress chose an embellished shoulder detail dress from the resort collection by Antonio Berardi. There’s a big movement towards the forties in fashion right now and this dress with the emphasis on strong shoulders, nipped in waist and midi-length hemline ticks all the right boxes.

The Twilight Promotional tour made it’s way to the UK today with the film’s most famous trio; Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner appearing at the London premiere of Breaking Dawn Part 1 at Westfield Stratford. Kristen pulled out her second show-stopping look in as many days; this time a black embellished gown from the new spring collection by Roberto Cavalli. Cavalli is a not normally on the list of preferred designers that Kristen tends to wear but she picked the perfect design to suit her look. Whilst the gown is very pretty it also has a slightly gothic edge, perfect for a vampy film and Kristen image. She teamed the dress with Jimmy Choo pumps and an Alexander McQueen black leather belt.

Nikki Reed who plays Rosalie Hale in the The Twilight Saga was another star on the red carpet for the LA premiere last night night. Nikki chose a green draped gown with gold sequin detailing from the resort collection by Marchesa. Whilst I do like this gown, this look is definitely the weakest; the colour isn’t great on Nikki and the cut of the dress hides her great figure.

Coming in a close second to Kristen Stewart in the style stakes on the red carpet of the LA premiere for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 was Ashley Greene. Ashley who plays Alice Cullen in the saga wowed in a custom made red lace strapless gown with a layered effect by Donna Karan.

The eagerly anticipated LA premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 took place last night at the Nokia Theatre in Hollywood. As one of the biggest events on the promotional tour all the cast members came out much to the delight of adoring fans who had camped out for days to catch a glimpse of the stars.

Kristen Stewart who plays the films’s leading lady Bella Swan, is always the one to watch on the red carpet. She’s evolved from socially awkward starlet to a fully fledged sexy star. There’s been many a premiere in the history of Twilight promotional events, but at this Kristen really impressed.

Kristen chose a metallic blue sequinned embellished high split dress from the new spring collection by J.Mendel. She teamed the look with Brian Atwood black peeptoe pumps and a simple sapphire ring by Neil Lane. This look has it all; sexiness, drama and a good side of that edgy cool that has become Kristen’s trademark.
