Rihanna performed on the Today show earlier this week. The famously racy singer appeared on the show wearing a hot pant and crop top ensemble. The black hot pants from Louis Vuitton’s latest autumn/winter collection (fetish themed - Marc Jacobs surely had the likes of Rihanna in mind when designing). The blue and white stripey crop top (a big trend for the season thanks to the likes of Prada and Jil Sander) is by Norma Kamali.

Rose Byrne was another cast member in attendance for the premiere of X-Men: First Class in New York yesterday. The Australian actress wore a navy lace dress from the new fall collection by Marc Jacobs. On the runway this dress was shown sheer but Rose sensibly wore something underneath for an elegant look.

January Jones attended the New York premiere of the newest film in the X-Men franchise; X-Men: First Class. January who is pregnant opted to wear a chic black and purple off the shoulder look from the resort collection by Preen teamed with black Prada shoes.

I have been really impressed with Jennifer Lopez’s style of late; but last night as she arrived for the season finale of American Idol, the show on which she is judge, I couldn’t help but be disappointed. Following a great run of looks including Zac Posen and Gucci she pulls out this hideous and really unflattering nude sequinned jumpsuit. The look comes from the new fall collection by Michael Kors.

Halle Berry attended the FiFi Awards in New York last night. The famously curvy actress wore a daring black one shoulder dress with cutaway detail from the spring collection by Halston. I appreciate that Halle has a very good figure that most of us can only dream of, but showing it off in this dress is not a great look….unless you happen to be a cast member on The Only Way is Essex.

Angelina Jolie accompanied Brad Pitt for the LA premiere of his new movie, The Tree of Life. Angelina who is famed for her love of black on the red carpet mixed things up with a bright red silk dress by Jenny Packham. Whilst it is nice to see Angelina in abit of colour, we’ve seen far more spectacular looks.

The U.S state visit continued last night with a lavish State Banquet held at Buckingham Palace. Michelle Obama wowed in arguably her most fashionable look yet; an ivory georgette halterneck neck gown by Tom Ford. Although full length white gowns are a little difficult to wear without looking a tad bridal, Michele pulls this gown off with ease. A chic updo and statement earrings complete the fashionable look.

World renowned producer Simon Fuller, famed for creating tv hits such as American Idol received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. A few of his showbiz friends attended the event to show their support. Victoria Beckham continued on showcasing her most stylish pregnancy yet choosing a black silk parachute dress from her fall collection teamed with a nude bag also from her own label.

Jennifer Lopez was also present, the singer showed off an enviable figure in a body hugging green dress from the new fall collection by Zac Posen. No cleavage and a long hemline means that Jennifer can carry off this very very tight dress without a hint of trashy.

Kate Middleton wasn’t the only stylish British representative to meet Barack and Michelle Obama. Samantha Cameron wowed in a blue patterned design from the spring/summer collection by British designer Peter Pilotto. This is my favourite ever Sam Cam look, seeing as designs from this collection have also been worn by the likes of Carey Mulligan and Thandie Newton I wasn’t expecting Sam Cam to pull off this fashion forward look with such ease!

Meanwhile, the First Lady, Michelle Obama has long been heralded for her fashion choices. In keeping with Sam Cam’s choice Michelle went for a look by another London Fashion Week favourite, Roksanda Ilincic.

The first appearance of Kate Middleton and her new husband Prince William since returning from their honeymoon took place today in Buckingham Palace. Kate was on-hand to greet President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama on their State visit today.

For the occasion Kate chose to fly for the flag once again for the British high street wearing a beige tailored bandage dress from Reiss. This is a great look on Kate, it’s formal without ageing her which has been my main complaint with her fashion choices. The Shola dress was available to buy online this morning for £175 but the website has since crashed, if you’re super quick you should still be able to pick one up instore.
