Gemma Arterton is the latest celebrity to jump on the Isabel Marant bandwagon. Gemma chose an elegant grey shift dress from the fall collection of Isabel Marant for the New York premiere of her new movie; The Disappearance of Alice Creed.
There is a steadily increasing fanbase for the French designer who has long been the smug style secret of chic Parisian girls. Gemma wears this look to perfection with a smart up-do, smoky eyes and this season’s must have; pointy toe stilettos!
Jessica Biel attended the Berlin premiere of The A-Team for the next stop on the promotional tour. For this red carpet appearance Jessica chose to wear a blue strapless fishtail gown by Atelier Versace. The actress looked stunning in the embellished gown perfectly accessorised with silver peeptoes and a sleek hairdo.

Glee star Lea Michele attended an event held by Fox yesterday in Los Angeles for the hit series. Lea appeared alongside co-stars including Cory Monteith and Matthew Morrison. Lea, the star of the show, chose to wear an asymmetric cream and gold patterned dress from the resort collection by Reem Acra.
Lea is a favourite on best dressed lists but this particular design fails to impress (being much more suitable for someone much older then Lea). In addition the palette does nothing for Lea’s darker complexion whilst the loose fitting dress swamps her petite figure. In contrast co-star Jayma Mays looked chic in an embellished shift dress design by Elie Saab.
Angelina Jolie has made another set of promotional appearances for the release of new movie Salt. First she appeared at a press conference at a hotel in Seoul to talk about her latest film role. She chose a black leather maxi dress for the occasion (picture below). Later she attended the film’s premiere in a black strapless dress by Versace.
Angelina’s high fashion tour of the globe has received mixed reaction. Whilst some hail the return of the movie-star with glam appearances in Versace dresses including a red couture gown and a black vintage design. Then there is the contingent that hoped Angelina would wow us all with a new look, instead she has stuck to her same old tried and tested style formula.
With her latest appearance in South Korea which saw another two black dresses both of which were rather bland we are inclined to agree with the disappointed camp. Angelina will attend a premiere in London later next month, let’s hope she’s saved something special!
Blake Lively attended the premiere of new movie Twelve last night in New York. As one would expect the premiere also attracted a collection of Gossip Girl co-stars including Chace Crawford (who stars in the film), Anna Trachtenberg and Jessica Szhor. In the style stakes Blake can be a little generic but last night the actress pulled out all the stops.
For the event Blake chose a stunning mini dress from the resort collection at Chanel pictured above. We will always love a shift dress but this one is particularly exquisite, the combination of navy with the mesh panel around the middle and backless detailing are fabulous! Blake teamed the look with nude Christian Louboutin slingbacks.
Nicole Kidman made a ladylike appearance yesterday for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association luncheon. Nicole chose a bottle green tweed effect Prada dress teamed with nude kitten heels.
Prada, Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs all presented a new women for fall 2010, one with a curvy figure and a penchant for mid length hemlines (think any 1950s icons). Nicole demonstrates how to wear this particular fall trend with perfection.

Anna Kendrick has hit our style radar numerous times over the past year in some fab outfits from Gianfranco Ferre and Elie Saab. Her role as Jessica in The Twilight Saga and then her Oscar nominated performance alongside George Clooney in Up in the Air has cemented her star status.
Last night she attended the LA premiere of her new movie Scott Pilgrim vs the World. For the occasion Anna chose a little blue strapless animal print dress from the resort collection at Marchesa teamed with Jimmy Choos.
Normally Marchesa is a safe bet on the red carpet with collection after collection of stunning dresses, however it seems that Anna may have picked up the dud! Either it is the wrong fit on Anna or it is the wrap effect makes this dress so unflattering. The addition of bright yellow Jimmy Choos is an interesting idea that has gone very very wrong. Whilst we admire the sentiment of trying to do something a little different, it’s hard to decide which looks worse; the dress or the shoes!
Jessica Biel attended the London premiere of The A-Team last night in a stunning red dress. The actress appeared alongside co-stars Bradley Cooper and Liam Neeson for the UK leg of the publicity tour. Jessica is the latest in an increasing list of celebrities who have chosen a red dress in recent weeks including Angelina Jolie in that red Versace dress in Moscow.
Jessica’s red dress comes from the fall collection at Giambattista Valli. Red can be an overpowering colour to wear, however the high neckline gives the dress a much chicer feel and the black band breaks it up perfectly. Finally the slightly messy hair look (very Kate Moss) finishes off the look.

Angelina Jolie is a rare breed of Hollywood stars, one that is not often seen on the red carpet, she can go a year without heading out into the spotlight but when she does, no-one does it quite like Angelina.
On the publicity tour for new movie Salt that has seen her span the breadth of the globe she stepped out today for the Tokyo premiere. Her dress of choice was atypical Angelina Jolie, dark and sexy yet classically elegant. A black high necked gown with open back and side split detail courtesy of the archives at Versace.
Very few red carpet moments have the ability to inspire audible gasps but Angelina in vintage Versace is one of them. It’s been said before but will be said again; this look could really do without those tattoos (especially the monstrous one of her back) and a little extra fat wouldn’t hurt either!
