Last week we gave you the low-down on all the trends you should be preparing your wardrobe for this fall, including the overwhelming prevalence of red on the runways. Since then we haven’t been able to help but notice the reoccurring look on red carpets and celebrities world wide…..a little red dress.

Last week we saw Cheryl Cole in a stunning number from Versus at the X-Factor auditions. Twilight star Nikki Reed chose a strapless number by Lela Rose for a TV appearance. Finally Cameron Diaz customised an Oscar De La Renta dress to show off her legs.

The red dress is a fabulous look but is not without its pitfalls, get it wrong and you can look more bargain bin then bombshell. So what are the rules? First the fabric choice is important, never wear anything shiny, red shiny fabric just screams cheap. Second keep the dress little, the longer the dress the more overwhelming the look but at the same time avoid an overshare, all the ladies above have kept it classy never too much leg or cleavage and definitely not both at the same time. Finally keep the accessories minimal in nude or black, let the dress stand out.

Elizabeth and James has been a favourite over here at Lady Glamourazzi for some time. We love the masterful tailoring and minimalist chic that make their designs so wearable and so on trend. Kylie Minogue attended the latest AMFAR event in Paris this weekend alongside friend Jean Paul Gaultier. Three guesses as to what the popstar chose to wear? Jean Paul Gaultier couture of course.

Kylie chose a stunning creation from Jean Paul Gaultier’s spring/summer couture collection. The black feather detailed dress has the perfect mix of dramatic effect and sexy chic that Kylie seems to love. The shoes, hair and makeup were kept modest to let the statement dress do its work.

A newly copper haired Kristen Stewart had a very busy day yesterday. First, her appearance on David Letterman, and then the big New York screening of Eclipse. With only days left till the opening of one of the years most anticipated films, its stars have gone into publicity overdrive.

What of Kristen’s fashion? First up for David Letterman Kristen chose a black one shouldered dress from one of her favourite labels, Herve Leger. The body con dress with metallic neck detailing is taken from the fall collection. She paired the dress with her trusty Brian Atwood pumps.

Next was the screening in New York, a low key event compared to the scream fest premiere in LA last week. This time Kristen chose a long sleeved seashell effect dress from notorious dress designer RM by Roland Mouret with Christian Louboutin pumps. The dress is a black version of the blue runway look from the fall collection.

Did she do well? Whilst out of context both the dresses are great on Kristen Stewart, she wears them as well as the runway models. But in consideration of her status as one of the most photographed and talked about celebrities in the world, she desperately needs to mix it up a bit!  In the last few weeks Kristen has worn LBDs from Azzaro, Versace, Marchesa and another Herve Leger. Little black dresses are staple wardrobe items but they should never be THE only thing in the wardrobe.

Twilight actress Ashley Greene has had something of an epic fashion fail whilst attending a press event in Madrid for the forthcoming Twilight movie. The young actress posed for cameras in an all cream ensemble from Michael Kors.

Just what did Ashley Greene see when she looked in the mirror after putting on this outfit? The skirt is ill fitting and thus totally unflattering whilst the blouse looks like it has seen better days, namely back in the seventies the last time sheer blouses with neck ties were fashionable.

It is an unfortunate appearance for Ashley who plays Alice Cullen in the films, previous fashion choices have been markedly more successful than this one (notably Prabal Gurung and Antonio Berardi). Let’s hope Ashley has packed some better clothes as the promotional tour comes to London this week.

Kirsten Dunst is the latest in a long line of celebrities to venture out in a swallow print design from Miu Miu’s spring/summer collection. Out and about in Soho, New York the young actress looked fresh and summery in a short sleeved Miu Miu dress.

The much heralded collection from Miu Miu debuted last autumn to critical acclaim. With two main themes running through the collection; girly swallow print designs and bejewelled flesh tone creations. The weather this week has been fabulous, with temperatures reaching their peak at nearly 30 degrees on Sunday, revellers at this years Glastonbury festival couldn’t have picked a better weekend. Whilst in years gone by we have seen total washouts where the only suitable attire is wellies and a rain mac, this year couldn’t have been more different.

The latest bag of the month goes to the star of the Chloe’s spring collection the Marcie. As spotted on numerous celebrities including Katie Holmes, Rachel Bilson and Jessica Alba all pictured above. It’s the night we’ve all been waiting for, some even camped out for days just to be in the epicentre of the action, it could only be the Eclipse LA premiere. Yes there was Robert Pattinson and a whole lot of screaming but what we all want to know is what the ladies wore. Without further delay here is a roundup of who wore what at the Eclipse LA premiere:

On the night three designers stood out; Elie Saab, Marchesa and Gucci. Marchesa began the frenzy tweeting hints to followers and us at Lady Glamourazzi that all pointed to a Marchesa fest! And fans were not disappointed, Marchesa did indeed do very well dressing Nikki Reed and Anna Kendrick. Whilst Elie Saab dressed both Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. Last but not least we cannot forget the boys, Taylor and Robert were both dressed in Gucci.

Kristen Stewart chose a white one sleeved mini dress from the fall 2009 couture collection at Elie Saab paired with Christian Louboutins. After a month of wearing little black dresses like they are about to run out, the white is refreshing, a very pretty look though we would have liked to see something full length.

Co-star Dakota Fanning also wore a dress by Elie Saab, this time from the spring couture collection. Whilst we love the on-trend nude lace, the look is very similar to previous designs worn by Dakota. Quite why Dakota has taken to looking like a ghost with all that nude fabric, pale skin and blonde hair we’re not quite sure.

Ashley Greene has always been one to watch, one can never be sure which way she’ll go (fashion fab or fashion fail). Last night in a pale floor length gown by Alexis Mabille couture Ashley failed. A dress that looks like you have wrapped a sheet around you is never going to impress.

Nikki Reed wore a fabulous oyster blue feather dress from Marchesa’s fall collection. It isn’t Nikki’s sexiest look but oh so very pretty. Anna Kendrick looked super cute in a gold pleated mini dress from the resort collection at Marchesa teamed with Jimmy Choos.

Elisabeth Reaser aka Mummy Cullen brought the sexy in a daring lace mini dress by Zuhair Murad. Finally Bryce Dallas Howard, the new Victoria, brought a breath of fresh air to the vampy red carpet in a yellow gown by Dior.
